Red Diamond Bought For $2.6 million At Recent Auction

This beautiful ring should have topped my Christmas list but I don’t think my fiancé could have quite stretched to the amount of money it went for at a recent auction. This rare red purple diamond ring has recently been sold at Christie’s for an astonishing $2.6 million.

The ring has 2.26 carats and is the largest red diamond to have ever been put up for auction. The buyer of the gem was English jeweller Laurence Graff.
