Sanyo have given us a range of Xacti camcorders in the past but as of yet none of them have lived up to the hype, but it is hoped that the new Sanyo Xacti VPC-HD1000 could help change all that. You will notice that this new camcorder has a pistol grip design, but I feel that this makes it look like a child’s toy. The other worrying thing is Trusted Reviews still do not believe that the Xacti VPC-HD1000 is still not able to live up to Sanyo’s claims.
But do not let put you off as there are a range of great features that makes the Sanyo Xacti VPC-HD1000 camcorder worth the money like, Full HD recording abilities, but what they give to you in one hand they take with the other in the way of a poor four-megapixel CMOS sensor, although that is much better than its predecessors.
The optical zoom is not great as the colors are very poor and oversaturated, and it needs plenty of light to be able to produce some decent quality. If you are in the market for a new camcorder, you should think hard before purchasing the Sanyo Xacti VPC-HD1000 camcorder.
