Optimus Prime Found in Assassin’s Creed - what’s going on?

It has been discovered that for some reason Optimus prime from Transformers has made an appearance in Assassin Creed.

Is this a mistake by Ubisoft Montreal or did they intend for this image to resemble the autobot Optimus prime?

Take a look at the image above and tell me if I am wrong, but this looks like Optimus prime in truck form from the film Transformers.
