Leona Lewis album Spirit beats Spice Girls Greatest Hits to number one
Following on from our story that Spirit the new album from Leona Lewis outsold the Spice Girls new Greatest Hits on the first day of its release, we can now report that last year’s X-Factor winner’s debut album has now made it to number and become the fastest selling debut album as well.

According to mtv.co.uk Leona Lewis managed to sell 375,000 of the album Spirit in just its first week, the previous record for the fastest selling British album was set by Arctic Monkeys. Leona Lewis is now number one in both the album charts and in the singles charts with Bleeding Love.

The Spice Girls only managed number two in the album charts with Westlife being knocked down to number three.
