My new Apple iPhone compared to last phone, LG LG800 Chocolate

I loved the look of my LG LG800 Chocolate when I first brought it (a long time ago), and although many people say they have had problems with the LG800, I never had any.
Yesterday I brought the famous Apple iPhone, knowing it was the most hyped phone in history I expected it to be good but not amazing.

As you can see with the photo of the LG800 Chocolate above it does not compare in looks, features or in fact anything other than the colour black.
I will not go into all the features of the iPhone as you can get these on Apple’s website and I am sure you have heard many of them before. What I will talk about is why the iPhone is the phone for me and the features I like most.

The dock (shown in the photo above) is really handy and not only lets you place your iPhone in a stable position on your desk, but it’s also used for connecting to your PC, charging and registering the phone. When I brought the iPhone they did not tell me it comes with the dock so this was a nice surprise.

Above you can see the back of the iPhone which looks very sleek and tidy; the camera sits flush with the back and is only 2 megapixels. This may be one feature that will put some people of the iPhone, but for me 2 megapixels is enough as I use a very good Panasonic digital camera for personal photography.

As an added bonus the iPhone fits nicely in my Bose SoundDock and replaces my old chunky 20GB iPod. The music sounds fantastic thanks to Bose’s amazing speaker and the 8GB of storage on the iPhone is more than enough for the amount of music I carry.

The Google maps on the iPhone look very good in satellite images and give you directions and traffic information, sadly you would need someone next to you for turn by turn directions ahead of time as there is no GPS in the iPhone.

It’s so easy to watch video streams from YouTube when you’re at home or out and about, all you need is access to a Wi-Fi network and you’re away.
From the Home menu you just click on YouTube and straight away you get to see featured videos and for more you just search and click play. These look great in widescreen mode; just turn the iPhone on its side and watch.
I sat in my living room the other day watching lots of children’s videos from YouTube with my 4 year old son…Quality.

Product Reviews looks great on the iPhone and it’s so easy to browse the web, bookmark and do other tasks. Web pages are best viewed in widescreen mode and even better when you double tab for a close up shot of text and images.
The only bit that takes a little time getting use to was typing with the on screen keyboard, big fingers make you tab wrong letters to you get use to the controls.
This is the web browsing that the Nokia N95 should have had, I tried that and it was rubbish in my opinion.

What are your favorite features of the Apple iPhone and what’s your opinion of this phone?

In the US, the Iphone dropped $200.00. For $399.00 (if you have it sitting around and can afford it)you can get a widescreen IPOD, Widescreen browser with built in Wi-Fi, and a cell phone. Not bad when you consider the new 8Gb Ipod is $299.00. For $100.00 more, you get the whole shebang!!
Not too bad.
Cheers.
overal the iphone is better than the lg 800 because the the iphone has better capability
