PDA sales down 40%: Smartphone’s killing the market

No one can argue that a PDA was our lifeline for many business users, no matter where you went you would see someone with these small computer devices. But it seems as if the PDA is set for some stormy times as sales have dropped almost 40%. One of the reasons for this is the popularity of the Smartphone, and the Apple iPhone is only going to make this worse.
According to pcpro.co.uk, In Q3 of 2007 only 728,894 PDAs were sold, that’s about 39.3% down on this time last year, this is the total opposite of the sale of Smartphone’s as they seem to offer more than PDA’s can ever give you.
