NHL 08 for Sony PS3: is it worth the outlay?

Many PS3 fans will already have the new NHL 08, but is it really worth the extra outlay for a 2008 edition. The game does have sharp graphics with smooth movement; the game also offers a host of great options. Many would have thought that the extra power from the Sony Playstation 3 would have improved the game over previous PS2 versions of the game, but it has not improved as much as you would think.

Do not get me wrong the graphics are superb, the reflections on the ice are amazing as long as you have a Full HD TV also the choice of camera angle add to the excitement of the game. One disappointing thing on the game are the faces of the places, this has been a problem with all the games in the past and a problem that should have been overcome with the PS3 version of the game.

NHL 08 is in my view worth the outlay, but remember you will find most of your time immersed in the game.
