Looking for the latest mobile, well Japan’s largest carrier has certainly pulled out all the stops. There are a few slide phones includes but for the main part there flip phones. I like phones that 1) look good, 2) can text easily on, 3) can talk for a long time on and finally 4) will fit in my handbag easily. So to have a little read about what I think of these phones read on further and let me know whether you agree or disagree.

Mitsubishi D705iµ
I like the look of this phone and its very slim, there’s something that just doesn’t quite fit to me, but then it may be more of a boy phone. It does however have a 1.3 megapixel camera, which really wouldn’t seem to be enough in my opinion. Its due out in early 2008 and it will be available in black, blue and silver.

NEC N705iµ
There are claims on this phone as the worlds slimmest at 9.8 mm, and yes it does look that way, but whether it is or not has not been confirmed. Its has a 2 megapixel camera and will be available early 2008 and available in red, black and silver.

Panasonic P705iµ
This phone shares the same thickness as the NEC N705iµ, it has a open-push automatic open, wide QVGA display and a 2 megapixel camera. It also has special sound and graphic which have been designed by TGB Design and come in brown, black and silver. It will be around in early 2008.

Mitsubishi D705i
All I can really say about this phone is I would imagine that my daughter would want one because it’s pink! It does have a 1.3 megapixel camera and a wide QVGA display, it has a one-seg tuner and its also capable of recording up to 10 hours programming onto external storage and comes in pink, white and black. It will be on the marker from January to February 2008.

Fujitsu F705i
The fact that this phone has a waterproof feature could be the only thing going for it, for looks I would give it a 4/10. I can’t really name a time when I would need to use my phone in a situation with water!! There’s nothing really that I can say about this not keen on it at all. It’s due in the early part of next year.

LG L705i
This LG is not really a bad looking phone, its basic but not too bad, it does have hot keys for quick dialling and I would say that this is aimed more at the over 50’s age group (sorry mum!). It has a 1.3 megapixel camera, but has a world roaming capability; it’s available in gold, wine or black hopefully by the end of February.

LG L705iX
This is a smarter looking phone and I would say one of the best so far. I have has an LG Chocolate and couldn’t really get away with it so I have been put off by the LG range, but my friend has an LG Shine and she really likes it so it is down to personal preference. This one looks like a carbon copy of the Shine, it does however have support for HSDPA 7.2. This one is due out a bit later than the rest and should be around sometime in March.

NEC N705i
Another one that I’m not keen on, it does however have global roaming, 3 inch WQVGA display and a one-seg tuner and its 14.5mm wide so it is a bit on the wide side. Its due to be launched at the beginning of the year and will be available in orange, white and black.

Nokia NM705i
Now Nokia’s are a phone that I do like, they are perfectly simple and straightforward to use and the NM705i is an adaptation of the 6120 Classic. It does have a 2 megapixel camera, global roaming and a QVGA display. Not sure about the orange colour though! It is available from February in orange, white and black.

10.jpg

Panasonic P705i
Not really my personal cup of tea, but its not a bad phone, if the truth be told. It has, 3 inch WQGVA display, HSDPA and the all important 2 megapixel camera. It available in four shades, blue, pink, white and ‘dark’ and it is due to be launched by the end of February.

11.jpg

Sharp SH705i
I’ve noticed that all of these phones are just so similar, but however, this one does have the better camera, 3.2 megapixel with autofocus lens. It has the 2.8 inch WQVGA display and will be available in February sporting white, pink and blue to choose from. .

12.jpg

Sony Ericsson SO705i
This one looks pretty boring for a Sony Ericsson handset normally some of the are nice, but this reminds me of one that Barbie would have (sorry). It does have interchangeable “Style Up” panel, which when on might make all the difference, it does have all the usual stuff such as a 2.8 inch WQVGA display and a 2 megapixel camera and is available in three colours, pink, grey and white (the white may actually look better than the pink) and will be around in February.

Panasonic PROSOLID µ
This would definitely have to be a business phone as it has none of the things that we like. It is still a very slim phone at 9.8 mm, but there is no camera or voice recorder, but then what would a business user want with all that. It’s boring yet practical and is available in ‘gun metallic’ from February.
