City Of Men Trailer Now Online: Watch It Here

When Fernando Meirelles’ City of God was released in 2003, many deemed it as the best movie of that year. The film was nominated for 4 Oscars and voted #18 on IMDb’s top 250 movies of all time. Now it’s time for the long-awaited sequel City of Men.

City of Men takes us back to Brazil, with the story of two teenagers Acerola (Douglas Silva) and Laranjinha (Darlan Cunha) who have become as close as brothers as they grow up in a culture which is dictated by violence and run by street gangs.

When adulthood kicks in, the two boys go their own ways. Acerola goes on a journey to find the father he’s never met, while Laranjinha struggles to raise his own son. The two men then suddenly find themselves fighting on opposite sides of a gang war.
