BBC to launch music podcasts: with material from previous programs

BBC to launch music podcasts
The BBC is to launch yet another new podcast service, this time they are setting up a music podcast and is to feature a range of compilations from Asian, dance, folk, hip hop, indie, jazz, pop, punk and rhythm and blues music. The podcast is to use material that was played on programs like Chris Moyels or Jo whiley, and will feature 30 seconds of each track that was played.

According to pocket-lint.co.uk the BBC Radio 1’s Chart Show is the first to launch the new music podcast and will give you a rundown of the complete Top 40 singles chart, while later in the week many other BBC Radio 1 shows will offer clips. Other station like BBC Radio 2, BBC 6 Music and the BBC Asian Network Chart will use the new service from Saturday 17 November.
