Without a doubt the greatest technology that will be used by PC’s and laptops are SSD storage, and Samsung seem to be on top of the game with the new Samsung 64GB SSD. What you have to remember is that as these new kinds of storage solutions does not have any moving parts, it is both completely silent and very fast we pitted against a standard hard drive.
The guys over at Engadget have decided to pit the Samsung 64GB SSD against a Seagate Momentus 5400RPM SATA, which is a 2.5-inch laptop drive just to see how they both compare with each other. As you would expect Samsung’s 64GB SSD wiped the floor with the standard HDD, but would you pay about $1000 for this new kind of technology.
