Management control of Helio moves from Earthlink to SKT

We asked the question back in June “Helio Ocean Popular, but will the company fail like Amp’d?”, and today we are just getting news that the management control of Helio is moving away from Earthlink and to SKT.

This is the first time this has happened in Helio’s history and a deal that hopes to see the Helio brand move to a much stronger position in the market place.

$70 million has already been allocated by SKT to make the move and they have also put by another $100 million for marketing and handset development in the future.

Let’s hope this deal does give Helio the second chance they deserve.
