Are They Becoming More Often?

When I was small, cases of toy recalls were very little. Now it seems that every other day there is a news story about a toy being recalled from factories in China with warnings that the paint used with the toys could contain lead. Yesterday a warning came from Marvel toys regarding their Curious George plush toy.

Many of the factories who recall the toys have been in business for a long time - isn’t it time they learnt their lesson? The number of toys already recalled is well in the hundreds of thousands and toys continue to be recalled after manufacturers in China agreed to stop using lead paint with their toys.

Have you been effected by any of the recalled toys? Do you think more preventative measures should be carried out in the manufacture of toys?
