Hitachi stops production and sales on LCD and CRT based RPTVs in North America
Hitachi have now announced that they are to stop production and sales on their LCD and CRT based RPTVs in North America, also the production facility in Mexico which provides TVs to North America was shut down this summer. This news is not a surprise as most of us are moving away from this big monster TVs and going towards large flat panel TVs instead.

Market Watch has said that it is only a matter of time before other TV makers follow suit and stop production and sales of these LCD and CRT based RPTVs just like Hitachi have. However I bet that some consumers will not give up on these monster TVs without a fight.
