Release of W960 delayed until January 2008

Sony Ericsson have confirmed that the W960 Walkman Phone will now not be released until January. So UK customers will just have to wait that bit longer to get their hands on the new touch screen phone.

“There will be no W960 until January”, David Hilton, head of marketing, Sony Ericsson UK told Pocket-lint.

I can imagine that this will cause some disappointment for customers looking to get the phone around Christmas and no doubt they will be now looking into alternatives.

“With such a crowded market for new phones before Christmas, we have decide to wait until the new year to launch the handset”, a spokesman told us at the Sony Ericsson launch event in central London. For more information go to pocket-lint
