According to reports, 20th Century Fox’s big screen adaptation of Dragon Ball Z is ready to begin filming in Durango, Mexico. Local Mexican newspaper El Norte reports that filming will take place in many different parts of Durango, including Mexiquillo Forest, Marley Ranch, Hacienda la Providencia, La Joya Ranch, Laguna Seca de Santiaguillo and a forum from a Convention Center in the Culture Institute.
It is said that the production will also be filming at volcano Nevado de Toluca in Estado De Mexico. 85% of the production will be filmed in Mexico. The last report on the film I read stated that principal photography was supposedly beginning in November in Montreal, Canada.
However, the article says that filming will begin in January so maybe that is just the Mexico start date or it could be possible that the location and start dates have been changed.
James Wong, the man behind the Final Destination films, will write/direct the big screen adaptation of the popular manga and anime series Dragon Ball Z for 20th Century Fox. Dragon Ball z was originally created by Akira Toriyama and tells the story of an alien sent to destroy Earth who has a change of heart and decides to help the humans in their battles.
