Western Digital debuts new external hard drives: My Book and Passport Portable

Western Digital have debuted their new range of My Book and Passport Portable external hard drives, the Passport series measure just 2.5-inches while the My Book series external drives are 3.5-inches, both are due for release early in December in Taiwan.

The WD Passport Portable comes in three storage sizes120GB, 160GB and 250GB, while the WD My Book series comes in a range of storage sizes from 320GB to 1TB. DigiTimes reports that Western Digital seem to have a great share in the external hard drive market as they have a global share of 27% for 3.5-inch hard drives and 34% for 2.5-inch hard drives.
