NPD Hardware Sales Will No Longer Be Released To The Public

It has been reported from now on you will no longer be able to see the sale figures for hardware that NPD produce, but Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo are still free to release their own figures and maybe even give a hint of what the others are doing if it makes them look better.
Sales figures from software are normaly given to the top ten SKUs but now that has been reduced to the top five only.
We will eventually receive hardware and software figures but only on quarterly and annual basis.
For now this is how things stand but there are small signs that this could be only a temporary measure.
