Personally I have been looking forward to getting an iPhone for sometime but with the news they are going to be contract only this has put me off a little as I like pay as you go phones, but at the What Hi-Fi and Stuff Show last Friday in London I got a hands-on look at the HTC Touch Dual.
Having wrote about this phone before I knew it sounded good, but getting my hands on the HTC Touch Dual changed my mind on a few things.

The phone is very impressive with a revolutionary touch experience for controlling the device called TouchFLO™; you just slide your fingers or thumb across the screen left or right and up or down. Also you have the option to use the handy smart-sized keyboard for controlling certain features.
If you are like me you will prefer to touch and the fingerprints left all not visible until the device is turned off, this then can be cleaned with almost anything that is soft.

The guy on the HTC stand also confirmed that the HTC Touch Dual can be left in you’re pocked with keys etc and would not scratch easy.
Having a play around just showed how easy it is to use the interface to browse images, music, messages and emails at the touch of a finger.

If you just tab the screen you will be presented with the HTC home screen, this then gives you an instant view of missed calls, messages, a calendar, dynamic weather updates and a lot more.
If the HTC Touch Dual will be available to buy pay as you go then it looks like this will be my next phone.

HTC Touch Dual Main Features:
- Take photos with the inbuilt camera, zoom in, edit, create slideshows and pan through your favorites at the touch of your finger
- See key information at a glance with Live HTC Home™ and use the innovative 3-D interface for quick and easy navigation
- Make the most of your free time – surf the Web, enjoy music and video clips, or chat to your friends on MSN
- High speed, always on connectivity provides you with the ultimate internet experience
- Discover TouchFLO™, a revolutionary touch screen experience
The HTC Touch Dual is due out Monday 19th November.

yeah its looking pretty koool… great thing about it has 2100MHz UMTS/HSDPA connectivity, improved GSM battery talk times. well it is 7mm longer, 2mm thicker, and only 8g heavier than the original. that’s pretty impressive. There is a downside, however: the Touch Dual appears to have lost the WiFi support that the original had……….
