Emily was the youngest person to ever try out for the show at age 14. However, after the recent video and pictures of her “happy-slapping” another teenage girl, called Anna, she has quit the show.

For those of you who don’t know what “Happy-slapping” is it is when an unsuspecting target is attacked while an accomplice records the incident on a camera or smart phone. She should have been kicked out before she had the chance to give up on her own accord. This hopefully will send a message to youngsters (and everyone) that your actions will catch up with you eventually. Take responsibility of your own actions!

‘NOTTZ_CHIIK_’ you have impressed us all with your ’street speak. So what you said in English, is?

She deserves everything she gets, if not jail.

    Grow up.

  4. Chexd on November 5th, 2007 5:44 pm

“NOTTZ_CHIIK” is obviously very stupid as can be seen by her typing and spelling.

    its “SHOULD” love ;)

Of course she should quit, its disgusting and she would only get disqualified had she not quit anyway.

of course she shouldnt be in the comp anymore!!! why should she get something she wants after doing that? its just evil to go up to someone any hurt them, saying them horrible things and then get some weird kick out of watching it!!! its wrong! how must the victim feel, seeing her and everybody cheering for her on tv?! its asif she is getting away with being a bully! she should be punished. Who cares if its her carer? shes only what 15….? maybe when she grows up abit and realise what she has done she will still have this carer! even if she didnt quit she would of been kicked off, the audience and public would of hated her. she wasnt a bad singer, but she wasnt great so its not asif the x factor is nothing without her. we shouldnt condem violence! i hope she feels deeply ashamed of herself.

Good riddance to her, she is clearly a bully and deserves to be booted out. I hope this teaches her a valuable lesson: yout past will come back to haunt you. Bullying is NEVER acceptable! I would like to add this: I have never seen such an appalling use of the English language as is displayed bu “NOTTZ_CHIIK_”. I assume Nottz refers to Nottingham. The standard of education there is clearly very low. I do hope this is not a reflection of how young people speak whilst commenting on major news stories, let alone in general. If this “prose” was produced when I was at school, it would be assumed that there is some kind of learning disability affecting this person.

I think they did the right thing. So many young people look up to pop stars. She certainly couldnt be allowed to be a role model when doing stupid things like this.

omg no they should not of withdrawn emily from the competition it was a very big mistake i for one will not be watching x factor anymore or voting because i only watched it for her!
yes fair enough it may have been wrong but she deserves this an another chance at the end of the day her dream and her life has been shattered and she does not deserve this at all she was really talented and a very good singer and a lovely person
    xx

i cant beleive wat im seeing

  10. Cat on November 5th, 2007 10:53 pm

I think they were right to have withdrawn her from the competition as otherwise it shows that bullying is acceptable where it clearly isn’t.

I don’t dispute that she’s talented and that she wanted it for her career, but equally she’s obviously not a very good role model which is also what the producers are looking for.

And by he way, her career was not “spoilt by something that has been invented called the “happy slap”", it was spoilt because she made the stupid decision to take part in the happy slap. HER CHOICE. She spoilt it for herself.

K.Fenton, must agree with bullying!!!! for you to be sooooo upset that emily has left the X Factor.

Unfortunately Emily may have tarred alot of future youngters who want to appear in next years X Factor with the same brush. Because she is obviously so imature, that she can think happy slapping is ok to do. HOW BIG DO YOU FEEL NOW EMILY??

X factor producers may think again next year about letting more youngsters appear on the show. Which is a shame because, like emily some youngsters have very good voices.

    SHAME ON YOU EMILY!!!!!!!!!!!

  12. Sam on November 6th, 2007 4:25 pm

At first i assumed she’d just been dragged into the whole “happy slapping” incident. maybe even being a victim of peer pressure herself, but after seeing the video footage i am disgusted and glad she is out of the competition. she didn’t deserve to be in it with an attitude like that.

    Speak English you ignorant twat.

    Rant over.

  17. gurlieT on November 13th, 2007 6:00 pm

no need 2 call newun an ignorant twat spekin dis way izz quicker and if u cant read it have u thought mayb ur the twat and oh yh i dont think she SHUD have been withdrawed frm the competition wt she did was bad but not enough 2 ruin her life and dreams no wun exept ppl that are close to her knows why sha did it so no one SHUD judge (i know how to spell but it is easier this way so anyone who has a problem should sort it or get over it

  18. notanoldman on November 14th, 2007 11:00 am

How can it be easier to spell in such a ridiculous manner? Quite apart from encouraging others (by example) to do the same thing it makes a bloody joke of education! Moreover, whether or not that individual can read it certainly does not make them a twat, (not that I am saying you are a twat either), but that unlike the vast majority of ‘yoof’ today, they were probably educated properly and thankfully maintain a little respect for the English language! (I know that rant made me sound like an old man).

However, back to the actual article…yes she bloody well should have been pulled from the competition! There is no justification for bullying somebody! It’s another pathetic and sad reflection on the recent changes in society of this country! One does not have to be ‘judging’ her to say what she did was wrong, it could have been anyone else and it would still not be right! I bet if you were the person on the receiving end of her ‘happy slap’ you would be more than happy to have her pulled from the comp! She’s a stupid fool (and that IS a judgement!) who ruined her own future, nobody else did it for her! (And I realise that this rant has not helped the old man image I have probably made for myself!)
