Big Brother Africa Sparks Outrage
It has been reported that a sexual incident on the African version of Big Brother has sparked outrage throughout the continent.

It has been said that Richard Bezuidenhout from Tanzania was judged by some viewers to have sexually assaulted fellow housemate Ofunneka Molokwu.
The incident took place on Saturday afternoon after a drinking session and both contestants were intoxicated.

The two are still in the show and are among three finalists vying to win the £50,000

M-Net, which is an over-18s channel, says both housemates consented and the company has decided that it was not assault.

There has been a lot of speculation about exactly what happened and the channel is considering showing the footage again to clear up any confusion. But do you think they should?

M-Net spokesman Joseph Hundah told Sky News Online: “We have reviewed the footage and showed it to psychologists and lawyers to see whether it was assault. They’re come to the conclusion that an assault did not take place. There’s been no police involvement and no charges. Housemates have not broken any rules of the show.”

Richard has defended his sexual behaviour by telling housemates that “Well, this is Africa.” What does he mean by that?

Last year, Australian Prime Minister, John Howard, called for Big Brother to be axed after two male housemates allegedly sexually assaulted a female contestant.

What do you make of all this?

Did you see this show?

Those Psychologists and lawyers didnt notice that she was butt drunk and lying on the floor;they clearly dont understand the law or the mening of “consent.”

If u r not in a position to consent to a sexual act and that sexual act is performed on you and it includes penetration….thats rape.PERIOD!

I think Mnet is right in their decision to show the footage again because i personally think some people are out to discredit Richard’s personality just to increase Ofunneka’s chances of winning the money.

We need to judge for ourselves if Ofunneka was indeed in a comatose state and Richard was not equally intoxicated.
