Will The Sony XEL-1 OLED TV Hit US Shops By Christmas?

The guys over at Engadget have delivered some pretty cool news today. Since last months official launch of Sony’s sexy 11-inch XEL-1 OLED TV it’s been thought that the Japanese would be the only lucky ones to snap one up this year. Apparently not! Stan Glasgow, Sony Electronics President has revealed that US customers may be able to get their paws on the 3mm TV in time for Christmas!

At a discussion in New York, Glasgow revealed,

“OLED could come [here] before the end of the year,”

He added that the decision would be based on foreign demand and panel supply, which is reportedly low at the moment.

So, keep your $1,800 safe and start praying that the XEL-1 doesn’t go down too well in Tokyo!
