Resident Evil 4 Nintendo Wii Edition: 1 million units sold

It has been announced by Capcom that Resident Evil 4 for the Wii video game console from Nintendo has shipped over one million units worldwide. The Resident Evil game was first released in 1996 and has shipped over 33 million units. It is valued as one of Capcom’s strongest and most intellectual properties.
The Wii brings a new intensity to Resident Evil 4 allowing players to experience new play thanks to the Wii Remote. Capcom has broken the one million units milestone and successfully captured the attention of a new set of users by retaining the interest of the core fan base and also reaching new casual audiences through the Wii console.
Capcom plans to pursue the continued creation of unique and inspired creations for the Wii. These include titles such as Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles which will be released on November 13th and We Love Golf in 2008.
