Microsoft In Talks With New Studio

A few weeks after we told you that Halo director Neill Blomkamp claimed the Halo film was ‘dead’ we get some news that will excite gamers worldwide. Yes, it seems a Halo movie is not dead in a world where Halo 3 sold $300 million in its first week of sales. According to Peter Jackson’s representative Ken Kamins, Microsoft is in talks with other movie studios to continue the development on a Halo feature film.

Preparation on the film hasn’t stopped at Weta Digital and Weta Workshop in New Zealand, despite reports the film was ‘dead’. Microsoft still hope to set up a deal with newcomer director Neill Blomkamp (the man responsible for the live-action Halo advertisements) still attached.

I’ve never played Halo, but the guys at Product Reviews have and assured me that if this movie were to be made, it would be bloody amazing! Hopefully, the studio will do the hugely successful game justice and finally make a decent game-to-film adaptation.
