Many would agree that the GR Digital from Ricoh was indeed fantastic, but the digital camera is now two years old and it was about time Ricoh gave us something new to play with. Well they have and the new successor is the GR digital II, this 10 megapixel camera has all the usual suspects to help make the GR II a worthy successor to the old GR Digital, such as 1/1.75-inch CCD, improved RAW and JPEG recordings, ISO 1600 max sensitivity.
To help power the camera Ricoh GR digital II give you the choice of using either a Lithium-Ion power cell or AAA batteries. What you will notice with this new model is how much lighter and smaller it is to the GR Digital, but Ricoh have managed to give us a 2.7-inch LCD rotating screen which is larger than on the previous model.
Expect to pay about ¥80,000 when the camera is released in Japan on November 22nd that works out about $700.
