Kung Fu Panda Teaser Trailer

The new teaser promo for Kung Fu Panda is online. The film is the next movie from DreamWorks following next week’s release of Jerry Seinfeld’s Bee Movie. The promo features Jack Black introducing the trailer, which to be honest, I don’t really get. He’s funny, but trying way too hard here.

Jack voices the Panda in the film and Jackie Chan voices the Master Monkey. I find that a bit odd - isn’t Jackie Chan chosen for movie roles due to his incredible stunts? I didn’t think he’s that much of a good actor! DreamWorks either hired him for his big martial arts star status or so they could exploit the general Hollywood Asian stereotype.

Kung Fu Panda follows the story of a lazy slacker panda named Po, who must somehow find a way of becoming a Kung Fu Master in order to save the Valley of Peace from a villainous snow leopard, Tai Lung. Po becomes a Kung Fu hero by learning that if he believes in himself, he can do anything.

Hmm, not sure about this one, but if it’s your thing then check it out when it hits theatres on June 6th 2008. You can view the trailer here.
