Microsoft’s Gears of War: Golden Joystick Game of the Year

Golden Joystick Awards is the UK’s oldest awards ceremony for gaming, the event was held at the Hilton Hotel on London’s Park Lane. Not only did Gear’s of War win the game of the year, the Xbox 360 game also won the Sonopress Xbox Game of the Year, and also the Nuts All-Nighter award.
Gear’s of War has been around since 2006, where it was released on the Microsoft Xbox 360 and has sold more than three million games in the first 10 weeks of its release. Other winners on the night were Guitar Hero II and Nintendo.
