The Leica M8 is a Digital Rangefinder camera, and has been 52-years in the making, which is how long ago Leica started making the M series camera. The M8 has a ten megapixel CCD which also has offset microlenses, this helps to reduce vignetting. Like all of the M series cameras the Leica M8 have the solid metal design, the top is made from solid brass with the base being made from magnesium alloy cast.
