Foxtel To Air American Idol 2008 In Tandem With US
This is good news for Australian audiences as they will now be able to follow American Idol 2008 in tandem with its US broadcasts.

Pay TV provider Foxtel has acquired the rights to the Fox ratings powerhouse in a multi-year deal, and plans to air the show close to US transmission with an allowance for the time differences between America and Australia on its flagship channel, Fox8.

Brian Walsh, executive director of television and marketing at Foxtel said that “We are thrilled to add American Idol to Fox8’s dynamic 2008 schedule, The history-making series, that has un-paralleled global success, will be a sure-fire hit for our viewers.”
