Call of Duty 4: do I buy on Xbox 360 or Sony PS3?

After owning the Xbox 360 since its launch and my brothers 360 getting the red ring of death and then he brought the Sony PS3, I thought I would buy the PS3 as well just over a month ago.
I first got addicted to Warhawk and some other games on the PS3, but a week after Halo 3 came out I have found myself playing Halo 3 90% of the time now.
Now that Call of Duty 4 is coming I have to decide which games console to buy it on, the Xbox 360 or Sony PS3?
Both consoles are great in my eyes, but as I have been back on the 360 and love the chat features it makes me think.

Well if your a multiplayer whore, the 360 version is going to have TrueSkill ranking, more people playing online, and a better interface for inviting friends.

Oh yeah, also Achievements and Rumble. Though the PS3 version might support rumble but your not going to be able to get the rumble controllers till next year.
First off, the game is the exact same for both. That includes both gameplay and graphics. And thats not speculation but stated directly by Infinity Ward themselves. The only thing that really sets them apart is online. PSN is good but XboxLive is far better. As mentioned it’s easier to manage and hosts a far greater number of players.
Again, both versions are equal but when it comes to online, Xbox has the upperhand. I was lucky enough to get into the MP beta for CoD4 and absolutly loved it. I found it better then Halo 3’s MP.
So I’d say get the 360 version for Xboxlive.
But i thought the ps3 is better than the 360? not! after a year the ps3 library still continues to suck and will always be lagging behind the 360! blu ray? bull! we can put full length movies mastered in hd on dvd, so games will always have room on dvd! more sony lies to push blu ray!

cod4 may look the same on both systems, but trust me, youll get better gameplay and 10 times better online play on the 360. call me a fanboy all you want, i had the 60g ps3 and finally got smart and traded foe 360! best decision (and it was a hard one)i ever made. sony can keep the blu ray player, i want to play games!! p.s.- the ps3 is a total bad ass with blu ray!

You are either 7 years old or a retard. Possibly both. The upcoming lineup for the 360 is far stronger than for the 360. There are also 99 exclusives released or due to be released which is far more than on the 360.

If you already have a Xbox live gold account then get COD4 on the 360 (as long as you are willing to pay for the rest of your life to be able to play it online whenever you want to). On the other hand for anyone reading who doesnt own either console and wants to play online for free they should get a PS3.
The PS3s free online gameplay is a million times better than the 360’s free service.

Before you listen to anyone here… or anyone who is an exclusive developer for a console (MGS, Halo, Etc…) Read what a developer for all consoles said about the ps3 and it’s “exclusive” line-up. I’ll summarize. He said it sucks, and exclusives for the ps3 will continue to suck. Read for yourself here.
