Arnold Schwarzenegger

It has been reported that Arnold Schwarzenegger has defended his past claiming cannabis is not a drug.

Arnold Schwarzenegger who is the California Governor was pictured smoking marijuana in his 70s bodybuilding documentary Pumping Iron.

But he said in an interview: “I didn’t take any drugs.”

When told that he had admitted to smoking marijuana, Mr Schwarzenegger replied: “That is not a drug. It’s a leaf.” He said “My drug was pumping iron, trust me.”

Arnold also refused to condemn politicians who took drugs, saying it was not necessarily a matter of public interest. He said that a politician’s job is to do what’s best for the people and to improve the country, the economy, the environment. Why should I care if a politician takes sleeping pills every night so long as he can do his job?”

Mr Schwarzenegger is currently barred from standing for the presidency because he was born in Austria, not the United States.

What do you think do you agree or disagree with Arnold Schwarzenegger is cannabis a drug?

  1. Jean says:

The Cannabis isn’t the real problem. The law should be more tolerant. downgrading is not enough. It should be legalized for sale under licence very much like alcohol. Netherlands has the smallest level of regular user in Europe this is because they sell cannabis under licence since a long time. The peoples who are heavily addicted to cannabis are often people who have a Psychological sensibility. A small group of heavy user develops mental illness because of cannabis abuse very much like a group of heavy drinker abuse of alcohol and later develops cancer. Why should we ignore that there is so many cannabis user and fuel the black market and criminality any longer? The current politic on drugs doesn’t and has not impact on because it not reducing the number of heavy addicted peoples who had predisposition on mental illness long before they used cannabis. This is the case it the majority of problemsreducing the number of heavy addicted peoples who had predisposition on mental illness long before they used cannabis. This is the case it the majority of the problems generated by canabis.
