X Factor Daniel De Bourg IS The Second Person Voted Off

Last night saw Daniel De Bourg became the second contestant to be voted off The X Factor.

Daniel who is 31 was in the bottom two alongside last week’s survivor Alisha Bennett, after his rendition of The Foundations’ track ‘Build Me Up Buttercup’ failed to impress viewers.

Daniel’s mentor Louis Walsh faced criticism from the other judges for picking the track, with Simon Cowell describing the choice as a “joke”.

In the judges’ vote, only Walsh chose to save Daniel, while the other three mentors decided to give Alisha another chance at winning over the public.

Daniel said that “It’s been a chance to perform in front of millions of people thank you.”

The X Factor continues next Saturday at 6.45pm on ITV1.
