South Africa’s World Cup-winning rugby team meet Nelson Mandela

Now that the final is over I guess we just have to get over England’s defeat and I am sure former president Nelson Mandela is very proud of South Africa’s World Cup-winning rugby team as he looked that way when he met them in Soweto.
In the photo above you can see 89-year-old Mr Mandela, flanked by Coach Jake White and skipper John Smit, holding the Cup aloft.
Not many fans welcomed the players thanks to bad weather, but the World Cup win has galvanised South Africans of all races behind the team.
