Persistence
I have always seen myself as someone with a very positive attitude; whenever I hear myself talking negative I correct myself and believe in positive self talk.

How many times would you have to “fail” before finally giving up? as winners never quit and quitters never win.

Consider the following case history of one particular individual;

  • Failed in business, aged 21
  • Defeated in legislative race, aged 22
  • Failed in business again, aged 24
  • Overcame death of his sweetheart, aged 26
  • Had a nervous breakdown, aged 27
  • Lost congressional race aged 34
  • Lost congressional race, aged 36
  • Lost senatorial race, aged 45
  • Failed attempt to become vice president, aged 47
  • Lost senatorial race, aged 49

Was elected President of the United States, aged 52

The man’s name was Abraham Lincoln…….

What’s your views on persistence and having a positive attitude?
