After long delays an historic day has taken place in Singapore with the first ever commercial flight of the Airbus A380, the world’s biggest jumbo jet. The plane which is now part of the Singapore Airlines fleet took of safely as it starts its daily service to Sydney, Australia. Both staff and other passengers at Changi Airport watched in disbelief as they saw this huge monster of a plane reaching for the sky, many were grabbing small cameras and cell phones from their pockets to take pictures on this day which will go down in history.
Some passengers on board the Airbus A380 paid a lot of money for their flight ticket, like Ernest Graaff who told Reuters that he paid $40,000. What this got him was two business-class tickets on the jet, and he still managed to have a smile on his face. If you want to chance to see this huge plan land back in Singapore, get their on Friday.
