The Epoch helps to off-set its carbon footprint by building the chassis from bamboo, the body panels have been made from recycled tire tread rubber. The car moves along by using Magnetic Levitation units which are integrated into the four wheel hubs, this gives you zero friction to allow for maximum torque.
As the Epoch Concept would be made by a tire company, Kumho have used an ingenious design by using EAP technology or Electro Active Polymer, this means that the tread and shape of the tire may be changed on the fly by the use of running electric current through the rubber; this allows the tires to perform for different situations. So if it is dry then you can change the tires to slicks and if the road is wet then the tires can be changed instantly to grooved.
