The first 30nm-class 64GB NAND chip from Samsung Electronics
No one can deny how fast technology is moving and Samsung Electronics is at the forefront of that technology advancement. The Korean company has developed the world’s first 30nm-class 64GB NAND chip, this is a huge jump in higher density flash storage solutions in just a short amount of time, which does seem perfect timing as the demand for flash being the main storage of choice.

With the announcement of the 30-nanometer-class 64 Gigabit NAND flash from Samsung, this means that in eighth consecutive year the density of memory has doubled not only that but it is the seventh straight that the nanometer scale has improved for NAND flash since 2001 when the 100nm 1Gb NAND was developed.
