This weekend saw Spike TV’s Scream Awards take place. At the awards, a few of the industry elite showed their faces and talked about some upcoming movie sequels that are currently a possibility.
Edgar Wright, at the event, has said that if they make a Hot Fuzz sequel, the title is likely to be Hot Fuzz 2: Pigs in the City. I would love a Hot Fuzz sequel - there’s something about Simon Pegg in a policeman’s uniform that gets me hot under the collar! Wright also went on t say that he will be directing a trailer for Eli Roth’s Trailer Trash, but it won’t be a sequel to DON’T.
Also announced is that Image Entertainment is releasing My Name is Bruce in select theatres and on home video in 2008. The movie follows the story of Bruce Campbell as himself, as he is mistaken for his character Ash from the Evil Dead trilogy and is forced to fight a real monster in a small town in Oregon. Apparently, a sequel to that is already in the works and is called: My Name Is Still Bruce.
