Halo 3 or Gears of War: what is the better Microsoft Xbox 360 game

Many would have to agree that the best games are still on the Microsoft Xbox 360, and two of the best games for this games console have to be Gears of War and Halo 3. The thing that many people have asked myself is which of the two games is better.
I know that many people out there will be saying that I am an idiot and these games are very different, but I beg to differ. Gears of War has already a head start with gamers as the game has now been out for almost a year, while Halo 3 has only been around for about a month now. But there has to be something that gamers like about commanding Master Chief as in the month that the game has been out Microsoft Xbox 360 games console sales have doubled in the month of September.
Ok you can tell that the way that I am writing this post that I have already made my mind up and you will be right it has to be Halo 3, Sorry Gears of War.
So what do you think is the better game Halo 3 or Gears of War?

gears is way better than halo3, just because of the strong lenguage, the violence, gore, blood and the gamplay. in halo u are just pulling the trigger as a dumbass jumping from 1 side to the other, in gears you need to think twice before making a move u need a strategy because its a team based videao game.

Gears is better although there is a host shotgun that sucks but halo 3 has notin fun to do but jump and run in circles. But gears of war 2 has come out and it is FUCKEN awsome, beats halos multiplayer anyday. Because you always find teamates and people to fight. Sorry halo i betrayed you but gears 2 has awsome head shots, something you can’t do!!!
GOW is a much better game than gaylo 3. It is a better mlg game and im semi and i luv the game. Im on team ladder with kraterr and ovaload and haviik so hit me up my gamertag is crayznik and im goin to meadows 09 for GOW2
i like both games but halos online game play is much better than GOW.but gears is much more gory and fun.

halo 3 is ok but after a while it gets boring.gears is WAY BETTER gears combat is awsome how u get to chainsaw people and how blood squirts out, plus the head shots look cool and sound awsome.theres to many awsome things to say about gears of war 3 but overall its better and u can play gears for years and it wont get boring halos no match for gears campagn to but the end is GEARS RULES!!!! and halo sucks.
I’ve only played GoW2/Halo 2. Gow2 fun > Halo 2 fun. But Halo 2 multiplayer >
Gears by a mile! It actually has a worthwhile story in additional to superior hack and slash.
