Halo 3 or Gears of War: what is the better Microsoft Xbox 360 game

Gears has much better combat, graphics, and gore. Halo3 has better online game options. I love both, but I have just went back to Gears with all my friends, because the jumping strafing thing gets old quickly in Halo.

Gears is a better game. Its also out on PC which makes a complete joke out of the term ’360 exclusive’.

Gears of War dominate. Playing Halo gets more boring with the every shot and every jump (compared to GoW).

I like Both but Gears has some issues that make playing it not fun sometime. There is a big issue with Host advantage. It is so obvious that sometimes it just stupid to even bother playing if the Host is always going to get the advantage. This becomes even more obvoius when playing Annex. But both have a good campaign even though I believe that gears makes thoes Big enemies way to easy to Kill. Just getting a Hammer of Dawn is to simple. PC get to al least fight the big whatever it is. As for online Halo 3 gives more game options more game modes more players because we always have a broblem when there is more then 8 people and others want to join in on Gears. Gears 2 is what I’m wait for now. But Gears give more BANG excitement in its’ game play. It will get the adrinalin pumping.

Halo is a better game over all and that will be shown when people keep playing this game for years to come or until Halo 4. Bioshock came out in August (by the way the bioshock campaign is better than both gears of what and halo3) and nobody even talks about it anymore. Halo just has that kind of presence and it is rightly so. Think about everything that Makes Halo 3 great. Matchmaking, bungie.net, custom game types with limitless options and the campaign. These things make Halo 3 one of the deepest games of all time. Game of the year anybody? I think so.

gears is so much better then halo because of all the blood and gore, but the one thing that you can never get tired of in Gears is the magnificent headshot sound. While on the other hand H3 is a great game but fuck the bunting in it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111

id have to say gears of war is beta by far! iv played both gears of war and halo and the game play in gears of war is 100 to 1 compared to halo 3!!!!!!

Gears is an awesome game, there very different titles. Halo 3 was unbelievable but the campaign had nothing new, very dissapointed, while Gears had a great campaign or at least it was new and different. Halo wins in multiplayer, but i would rather have a great campaign.

gears is way better than halo3, just because of the strong lenguage, the violence, gore, blood and the gamplay. in halo u are just pulling the trigger as a dumbass jumping from 1 side to the other, in gears you need to think twice before making a move u need a strategy because its a team based videao game.

Gears is better although there is a host shotgun that sucks but halo 3 has notin fun to do but jump and run in circles. But gears of war 2 has come out and it is FUCKEN awsome, beats halos multiplayer anyday. Because you always find teamates and people to fight. Sorry halo i betrayed you but gears 2 has awsome head shots, something you can’t do!!!

halo 3 is ok but after a while it gets boring.gears is WAY BETTER gears combat is awsome how u get to chainsaw people and how blood squirts out, plus the head shots look cool and sound awsome.theres to many awsome things to say about gears of war 3 but overall its better and u can play gears for years and it wont get boring halos no match for gears campagn to but the end is GEARS RULES!!!! and halo sucks.

I think the single player for Gears of War is better than Halo 3′s, but multiplayer Halo 3 beats Gears so bad, it makes it the overall better game.

Gears of War is way better than Halo 3. I like Halo 3 but Gears of War is way more action packed.Gears of War is supposed to be rated R, Halo 3 is not scary,and certainly does not have that little splash of humor that the COG brings to the game! It also is not gorey enough to match Gears of War’s standards. I know Gears of War is not as good as Halo 3 on x box live but half the people that have an x box 360 don’t even have live, like me. Gears of War is more amusing than Halo 3 because it’s fun to shoot up ugly Locusts that come out the ground.

Gear's campaign is more tactical and team based, while halo's is just walking in a room and spraying, but halo's got the edge for its multiplayer. So its more of personal preference, offline or online.

Halo to be honest has way better private matches to make the game your own, but Gears still has a far more thought out and structured campaign; you get alot of action, mixed in with gathering more information about the locusts and where the humans actually stand in the war. You also get to learn about the backround of characters as Delta squad starts to come together. I love and own both games, but overall I think Gears of war is better due to its epic mix of action and storyline. Although it deppends on what type of gamer you are.
