Halo 3 helps Microsoft Xbox 360 take lead in September NPD
Although Halo 3 was released at the tail end of September, it still seems as if this great game has helped the Microsoft Xbox 360 take the lead in the September NPD. The Xbox 360 has made a jump of two places, where it seems as if Master Chief has kicked the butt of both the Nintendo Wii and the DS.

Microsoft will be regretting the day that they announced they will be parting company with Halo 3 developer Bungie, as the game helped the Xbox 360 sell over half a million consoles in September alone, that is almost twice as many as the console sold in August.

According to Game Daily Biz, The Microsoft Xbox 360 has now sold 6.8 million consoles to date, in second place was the Nintendo and no doubt they will get their number one spot back, well let’s face it Microsoft will not have Halo 3 so Master Chief will not be able to cover their arses.
