Gordon Ramsey – Humble Pie

When I first bought this book I wasn’t sure whether it would be a good read or not, especially as like the majority of people I thought that Gordon Ramsey was a bit up himself.

Actually reading this book you can see why he is so determined to be successful, which he has already achieved.

His upbringing in Scotland was awful, having a father that basically wasn’t that bothered about his wife or kids doesn’t exactly set the right precedent for life. I knew that he had been a footballer briefly but this describes exactly what happened to his career and how he came to be a chef.

It would be fair to say that Gordon Ramsey hasn’t had an easy life and has worked extremely hard for everything that he has now, in this book he shows that he is 100% committed to his work, but when it comes to his family, he is provinding the loving and stable environment which he never had.
