The Met Office Accused Of Manipulating Tube Victim Photograph

The Metropolitan Police have today been accused of manipulating a photograph showing the innocent victim of a shooting next to a suspected Tube suicide bomber.

The claim was heard at Old Bailey where the force is defending itself against health and safety charges over the death of the Brazilian man, Jean Charles de Menezes.

Prosecution said that the composite picture was released to news outlets after the shooting on July 22nd 2005. The Met Office are denying that a catastrophic series of failures in planning led to the death pf the 27-year-old electrician after being mistakenly shot.

Mr de Menezes was killed the day after a failed plot to bomb the London Underground network on July 21, 2005.
