Nine Charged With The Murder Of Russian Journalist

It has been reported that nine people have been charged with the murder of Russian journalist Anna Politkovskaya in Moscow. Among those arrested as a lieutenant colonel in the security services.

Politkovskaya was well known for her reports on alleged human rights abuses by Russian soldiers in Checknya. She was also one of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s biggest critics.

Anna Politkovskaya was shot dead outside her apartment in Moscow in October 2006.
