Kevin Smith On Zack And Miri Shooting Details
One of my favourite directors, Kevin Smith, has revealed a few details about his upcoming comedy Zack and Miri Make a Porno. Smith will be returning to the location where he shot the movie Dogma ten years ago (wow, I feel old now!).
The movie will be shot over 40 days in Pittsburgh instead of the planned Minnesota locale. Kevin Smith tells us why,
“[It’s] cheaper to shoot in Boston, Connecticut and Pittsburgh right now. We opted for Pittsburgh.”
He went on to say that the forty day shoot will be done in both the studio and on location. The movie will be shot on 35 mm instead of digital.
Smith revealed that names of the cast will become public knowledge in the next couple of weeks. It has already been confirmed that Jason Mewes will be in the movie but, for the first time in View Askew history, he will not be playing “Jay” from “Jay and Silent Bob”.
