Motorola U9: Like The PEBL, Only Better

Like The Pebel, Only Better

Now, if you were thinking that this is the new PEBL you’d be wrong. It’s in fact the latest music spinning Motorola – The U9 – with touch sensitive track controls and an impressive 4GB of mobile tunes. Looking, and acting, very much like an updated PEBL the only real difference is in the name. The U9 lines up with Motorola’s music phone range marrying the smooth shape of the PEBL with the features of the high-end RAZR2.

Packed into the smooth U9 is a 2MP camera, Motorola’s ‘CrystalTalk’ noise reduction know-how and a set of touch-sensitive music controls buried in the hidden exterior OLED display.
Motorola ditched iTunes a long time ago and now supports Windows Media Player 11 and its MP3 and WMA files. It still supports Apple’s DRM free iTunes Plus files and their AAC format.

The microSD slot takes the 25MB phone up to 4GB – that’s up to a thousand tracks. A2DP has also been squeezed in too – phew!

Motorola is hoping to release the phone before the end of the year, along with the seven entry level W-series phones lined up for this month and a limited edition RAZR2 plated in 24K gold!
