Michael Gondry Teams Up With His Son For Animation Project

Now, when you think of father/son movie collaborations, it’s often followed by a wave of nausea. When I tell you that Michel Gondry is the father in the equation, that feeling seems to float away. Gondry, the mastermind behind Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Be Kind, Rewind has revealed his plans to make an animation project with his son.

“It’s going to be quite amazing. We’re translating our relationship into a futuristic story with a dictator and a rebel. He’s the dictator in the story [and] it will be based on [his] art.”

Gondry hasn’t revealed what type of animation he will use. He used Lego for the White Stripes music video ‘Fell In Love With A Girl’ and wool for Stereogram’s ‘Walkie Talkie Man’. He’s actually a genius and I can’t wait to see what he comes up with.
