F1 Driver Fernando Alonso returning to Renault from McLaren-Mercedes in 2008
It is now being reported that F1 driver for McLaren-Mercedes has signed a letter of intent, and is to move back to his old team Renault. Alonso left his old team Renault last year where he won Two Drivers Formula One World Championships with them.

The Spanish driver hoped that he would do very well with McLaren-Mercedes this year, but he did not expect team mate Lewis Hamilton to do so well in his rookie year. The signed letter of intent that Fernando Alonso signed reportedly says he has a three-year contract with the French team, and is thought to be worth $100 to the Spanish driver.

The deal does however hang of weather Alonso can get out of his McLaren contract which still has another year left to run.
