MGM Mirage to build Casino Resort: MGM Grand Atlantic City to rival Las Vegas
It has been a very dismal year for the Atlantic City casino industry, but there is some great news on the horizon as the gambling giant MGM Mirage has announced plans to build a huge casino resort and will be one of the most expensive casino projects in the world, and is hoped to rival anything that Las Vegas has to offer.

The Casino come hotel will be called MGM Grand Atlantic City it would cost about $4.5 to $5 billion, the current record was only $2.7 billion which was the Wynn Las Vegas. However there are more expensive casinos waiting to be built again in the same price range as the new MGM Grand Atlantic City.

This is great news for Atlantic City as the region has seen its gambling industry decline due to increased competition from many slot parlors that have opened in Pennsylvania and New York.

The new project is hoped to be complete by 2012, as you can see from the rendered image there will be three hotel towers which is said to have a contemporary feel.
