Vodka Shot Saves Italian Man

We all know that too that much alcohol is bad for you, but a hospital at the Mackay Base Hospital in Queensland, Australia deliberately pumped a patient full of vodka after he has consumed large quantities of a poisonous substance called ethylene glycol to try and commit suicide.

The normal form of treatment is to flush the system with 100% alcohol called ethanol, but for some reason they were all out, so the next best thing was Vodka.

The Italian man was then intravenously fed three standard measures of vodka an hour for three days.
After two months he has made a full recovery and doing well.

Dr Todd Fraser explained: “Fortunately for him he was in a medically-induced coma for a good portion of that time.
“By the time he woke up I think his hangover would have well and truly gone.”
Dr Fraser added: “The hospital’s administrators were also very understanding when we explained our reasons for buying a case of vodka.”
